Argentina requires supermarkets to source locally if possible

Guillermo Moreno, interior trade secretary in Argentina, has told supermarkets that they must source their products locally when possible rather than importing foreign goods. The move puts an end to sales of items such as French cheese, Italian pasta and Swiss chocolate. "There's a lot of concern because we still don't know clearly what products are affected and we don't understand why this is being done," an industry representative said. "Moreno is acting like a medieval monarch."
