Roberts says NBCU's culture should remain intact after the deal

Comcast Chairman and CEO Brian Roberts, speaking at The Cable Show in Los Angeles, told attendees that he had no plans of absorbing the respective cultures of NBC and its cable-network cousins if the deal to acquire control of NBC Universal passes regulatory muster. "We're not going to try to 'Comcast-ize' NBC Universal," he said. "There should be distinct cultures at NBC Universal. Each brand [within NBCU] has its own culture."
