Case study: GF-enriched autologous plasma promotes rapid healing

Doctors in Mexico City successfully treated a 69-year-old man's extensive surgical wounds using a growth factor-enriched autologous plasma, according to this case report. The wounds on the man's neck were diagnosed as odontogenic necrotizing fasciitis and initially treated with surgical debridement and antibiotics. "The benefits were rapid tissue regeneration, an aesthetic and a functional scar, and the avoidance of further surgery and possible complications," the doctors wrote.
