Report: Health IT adoption varies among California providers

A California HealthCare Foundation report finds 55% of primary care providers in the state have implemented electronic health records, with larger practices reporting higher adoption rates than smaller practices. The report also notes that although roughly 90% of in-state hospitals either have clinical decision-support tools or are in the process of implementing the technology, only 40% have adopted CPOE systems.
