Why most small businesses don't need big banks

Big banks say they are boosting lending to small business, but loan broker Ami Kassar says he hasn't seen much change. "As a general rule we don't get near big banks," Kassar says, especially when the loan amount is less than $1 million. With 28 completed loans in the past 15 months, Kassar says local and regional banks are still the best bet for Main Street businesses.
