Ohio hospital officials are seeking personalized-medicine partnership

Administrators of Ohio State University Medical Center are seeking trustees' approval to create the P4 Medicine Institute, a coalition that would focus on research and clinical application of personalized medicine. The institute is intended to be a joint venture with Seattle's Institute for Systems Biology, the founder of which -- Dr. Leroy Hood -- coined the term "P4" to represent a personalized, predictive, preventive and participatory approach to medical practice.
