Data show greater eRx adoption

Data from Surescripts' National Progress Report and Safe-Rx Rankings showed 69% of U.S. doctors used e-prescribing last year, while the number of clinical visits that resulted in electronically generated drug history requests increased from 31% in 2011 to 48% in 2012. Researchers also found that in 24 states, e-prescribing use exceeded 70%.
