Work begins on $690M St. Croix River bridge between Minn., Wis.

Work has begun on the $690 million St. Croix bridge project to connect Wisconsin and Minnesota. It includes prep work for the reconstruction of Highways 36 and 95 in Minnesota and creating a construction-staging area for bridge foundations on Minnesota's side of the St. Croix River. Thousands of workers are expected to be employed at the peak of the project.
