Wisconsin governor enacts WIRED legislation

Wisconsin Gov. Jim Doyle has signed a bill into law that will establish a statewide health information exchange. Under the WIRED for Health Act, the state may appoint a nonprofit entity to plan and develop the exchange as well as administer incentive payments to help in-state hospitals deploy electronic health record systems.
