Answer to a math problem raises more questions than it answers

Japanese mathematician Shinichi Mochizuki published 512 pages of dense theoretical calculations and proofs online to assert that he'd solved a famed math problem called the ABC Conjecture. Only one problem: His papers were too complex and dense with jargon for any other mathematician to understand. Now the academic math community is divided over whether Mochizuki is a genius or a charlatan.
