Officials in Sacramento, Calif., where temperatures this week are in the 80s and 90s, are reminding pet owners of the dangers of leaving animals in cars. "Leaving an animal in an unattended vehicle where it could be harmed by heat exposure is against the law," said Dave Dickinson, director of animal care and regulation.
