Many brands still aren't engaging fans on Google+

Some big brands are neglecting their Google+ accounts in favor of Facebook and Twitter, a sign that Google has a long way to go to turn its social network into a major contender. Analysts say a lack of users and user engagement makes Google+ an unattractive proposition for brands; still, many maintain accounts in the belief that doing so will improve their search-marketing results. "Right now, the value isn't in the network itself, it's in what it can do for the search results," said Greg Finn of search engine optimization firm Cypress North.
