Survey: Patients willing to change doctors to save money

A HealthPocket survey of 713 consumers found 34% would change their physician if it meant saving money on out-of-pocket health insurance costs and more than half of those would be willing to do it for savings of $500 to $1,000 per year. AAFP Board Chairman Glen Stream, M.D., said if patients change plans and physicians too often, care can become too fragmented.
