Utah's $10M STEM Action Center looks to implement new strategies

Utah's new $10 million STEM Action Center, created by lawmakers less than six weeks ago, is hiring staff and nearly has all its board members in place. The center is charged with researching best practices for teaching science, technology, engineering and math in state schools and generating student interest in the fields. "Our goal is to find a way to help our teachers implement [best practices] in the classroom," said board member Stan Lockhart.
