Greenhouse-gas rules for industrial facilities are finalized by EPA

On Thursday, the Obama administration released final rules to curb greenhouse-gas emissions from industrial facilities. The move will force industries to invest in pollution-control equipment to ward off climate change. Companies have fought such rules, citing the costs of new equipment and confusion over the definition of best available technology. "The approach could delay or cancel much-needed business investment," said Cal Dooley, the president of the American Chemistry Council. Dooley urged Congress to pass legislation.
