BIOLASE's tissue laser gets FDA OK for orthopedic, podiatric use

BIOLASE has gained FDA clearance for its WaterLase iPlus system to be used on soft tissue during podiatric and orthopedic surgeries, which marks the first time that the company's WaterLase devices are cleared for nondental use. The clearance applies to such procedures as ablation, incision, resection, excision, coagulation, vaporization and hemostasis.
