Chief of naval operations equates U.S. cybersecurity with nuclear strategy

Investing in the nation's cybersecurity is as much of a priority for the U.S. armed forces as maintaining an adequate nuclear arsenal, according to Adm. Jonathan Greenert, chief of naval operations. Greenert ranks protecting domestic computer networks among the top one or two most vital defense programs. He said the Navy's dependence on satellites for communications, weather and missile guidance systems makes it particularly vulnerable to potential hacking scenarios.
