Google announces subscription music service

Google is taking on Spotify with a subscription music service of its own, Google Play Music: All Access, charging users $9.99 per month for the service that allows users to select specific artists and tracks, but also allows the creation of custom radio stations. Unlike rivals Spotify and Pandora, the Google streaming service will not have a free, ad-supported tier, though a free 30-day trial is available. The service will work on both desktop and mobile devices.
