Mass. city council will hold hearing to discuss $123M budget

The Holyoke, Mass., City Council has set a hearing on the mayor's proposed budget of $123.6 million for later this month. The budget, which is $740,427 less than the budget proposed last year, includes $64.5 million for public schools, $59.1 million in non-school spending and a potential deficit of $851,156.
