One in 17 youths is underweight, U.K. study finds

Researchers from Essex University looked at 10,000 9- to 16-year-olds and found that 6% of them were underweight. Girls and Asians were more likely to be underweight than boys and other ethnic groups, according to the study presented at the European Congress on Obesity.
