USPSTF recommends alcohol abuse screening

The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force recommends that doctors screen all adults for the spectrum of alcohol problems, from "risky" alcohol use to dependence, and provide counseling to such patients. The final recommendations were published in the Annals of Internal Medicine.
