What is needed for a successful follow-up letter?

Job candidates should remember to ask for the interviewer's e-mail address during an interview so they can send a follow-up note the next day, writes Dave Johnson. Among other things, an effective follow-up letter should be prompt, short and contain follow-up information, Johnson suggests. "This is your chance to deliver additional information to help make your case and to show you can follow through," he advises.
