More administrators use walk-throughs to observe teachers

More school administrators in the Milwaukee area are using regular classroom walk-throughs to observe and evaluate teachers in the classroom, as part of a nationwide trend to adopt new data-driven methods for evaluating educators and improving instruction. Administrators often use forms available on iPads or iPhones to record their observations. "This method is really to see what is going on holistically, and that can be used to really target changes," professional-development consultant Kathy Larson said.
