Missouri middle-school teacher Randy Turner writes that teachers too often are being targeted by legislation seeking to reform education. Turner questions why lawmakers would turn on teachers, who represent the best chance of improving schools and student achievement. He also suggests more time be spent focusing on factors outside of schools that present obstacles to student success.
