Covino: New ad formats may turn Facebook into MySpace

Facebook's new auto-playing video-ad units will clutter the website and make for a worse user experience, says CreativeSignals CEO Eric Covino. That could be a sign that Facebook is heading down the same slippery slope that derailed MySpace, Covino says. "Facebook won the MySpace battle because of better and more immediate interaction with people. The more they get away from that, the bigger the concern,” he says.
