Maine moves forward on GMO labeling bill

A bill approved by a state committee in Maine would require food labels to indicate whether products contain genetically modified organisms. To become a law, the bill must be approved by state lawmakers, and other Northeastern states must approve similar laws. The bill would go into effect in 2018.
