NFIB's April index rises, but group laments lack of growth

The National Federal of Independent Business' monthly index rose 2.6 points to 92.1 in April. The group called April a disappointing month for small businesses, citing little evidence of growth. Readings on capital outlays and credit conditions declined, but the index suggested positive trends related to job creation and expectations of business activity over the next six months.
