Career experts say new college graduates need a traditional resume, but they should supplement it with a social resume highlighting their accomplishments, Ritika Trikha writes in this blog post. Also, job seekers should record themselves in mock interviews and be prepared to ask good questions. "Strong questions show whether you've planned ahead, understand the business or the job and are curious to go into more depth about the responsibilities," says Arlene Vernon, president of the human resource consulting and training firm HRx.
