Apple dominates enterprise tablets, but Intel may prove a threat

Apple seems to enjoy a stranglehold on the enterprise tablet PC market, but analysts suggest that Intel could prove a strong challenger to the iPad. Microsoft Exchange hosting provider Intermedia said 99.8% of all new enterprise tablet activations go to Apple, while its iPhone controls 61% of the enterprise smartphone market. Some analysts say Intel's Oak Trail processor could make inroads because its Windows 7 platform will be more compatible with corporate IT systems.
