Are your servers getting the training they need?

Some 71% of restaurant guests take advice from their servers when ordering, two-thirds say servers should greet them within three minutes of being seated and 91% say their servers should check on them at least once and no more than twice after the food has been served, according to a survey. "Consumers choosing where to dine is subject to some of the same pricing and deal pressures as other retail categories, but there remains large segments of the population for whom 'value' is much more than the lowest prices," said NPD analyst Bonnie Riggs.
