AT&T CEO Randall Stephenson offered an upbeat assessment of the European mobile market, saying there are many similarities to the U.S. business for a carrier. "The market is going to evolve in Europe. As fast as it took off here, it will take off in Europe," he told an investment conference on Wednesday, adding the demographics were particularly attractive for operators. Although Stephenson confirmed that AT&T had been hunting for acquisitions on the continent, finding opportunities has proved "difficult."
