Bill would make SEC and DOL coordinate fiduciary rules

A House panel is scheduled next week to consider legislation that would force the Securities and Exchange Commission and U.S. Labor Department to coordinate their attempts at regulating fiduciary duties. "A coordinated and consistent result -- one that adequately protects consumers while maintaining needed access to advice -- is what's important, not simply a coordinated process," said Dan Barry of Atlantic Policy Solutions.
