Group urges stronger U.S. power grid protection against cyberattacks

A group of cybersecurity experts, including former Central Intelligence Agency and National Security Agency director Michael Hayden, is heading an initiative to promote security upgrades for the U.S. power grid. "The threats to our nation's critical infrastructure are very real, and we are launching this initiative to ensure our cyber security policies stay ahead of the threats," Hayden said. "We will also explore ways to ensure that the response of government and industry is swift and coordinated if there is an attack," he added.
