House panel OKs farm bill with no mandatory energy funding

The House Agriculture Committee voted 36-10 to pass a farm bill that does not contain any mandatory funding for its energy programs. "Funded farm and energy policy is better; it puts those benefits into action. On that score, we're concerned the House bill missed the mark," said Adam Monroe, president of Novozymes North America. The bill is scheduled to go to the House floor next month.
