NATO chiefs meet in Brussels to discuss post-2014 Afghanistan

U.S. military commanders, including Gen. Martin Dempsey, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, joined other NATO defense chiefs in Brussels this week to discuss the post-2014 NATO presence in Afghanistan. Afghan forces are strong enough to take over many aspects of security in the region, Dempsey told reporters after the meetings concluded. "There are gaps, but we have 18 months to close those gaps," he said.
