SEC approves 10-second deadline for equities reporting

The Securities and Exchange Commission approved a proposal from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority to reduce the amount of time brokers have to report equities trades from 30 seconds to 10 seconds. Some brokers have raised concerns that 10 seconds is not enough time to deal with transactions that are executed manually.
