HHS to poll consumers on health IT perceptions

HHS plans to survey consumers about their views of providers that use EHRs and their expectations of personal health records in a bid to counter concerns about negative patient experiences in relation to HIT. The survey will give policymakers a better understanding of how EHR use affects consumer satisfaction, care coordination and patient-provider communication.
