Why tablet computers should be in classrooms

As more colleges and universities test the use of iPads and other tablet computers, the vice president of McGraw-Hill Higher Education eLabs offers six reasons why the devices are a good fit for the classroom. Among other factors, Vineet Madan writes, tablets offer multimedia access to features that cannot be provided by print or e-books. They also are lighter and thinner than laptops, and they are aligned with IT trends in educational software and cloud-based connectivity.
