CBO projects lower revenue from ACA tax on generous plans

The Affordable Care Act's tax on the most generous health insurance plans will reap about $80 billion over the next decade, not the $137 billion initially forecast, because fewer plans will be subject to the tax, the Congressional Budget Office says. A slowdown in health spending growth as well as efforts to address spending on care likely contributed to the change.
