Funding opportunity awaits sustainable projects of Midwest railroads

Midwest railroads and other entities that own and operate diesel-powered equipment could receive federal funding for their sustainable projects aimed to improve air quality and fuel efficiency, according to Project Green Fleet. Emissions- and idling-reduction technology projects for locomotives and other engines used for rail operations are among initiatives that are qualified for funding grants.
