Golden Corral finds success with small restaurant design

Buffet franchise Golden Corral has found the smallest of its three restaurant designs is successful in areas with lower population density and announced plans to open three company-owned and two franchise restaurants with the 7,600-square-foot design by the end of this year. "We have really just gotten to the point where it's proven it works," said Bob McDevitt, Golden Corral's senior vice president of franchise operations.
