Installation of separate roofs at W.Va. theater cost more than $530K

A roofing project at the 85-year-old Keith-Albee Performing Arts Center in Huntington, W.Va., has begun. The work falls under a $532,300 contract and entails the installation of separate roofs because different sections of the building vary in height. "Any time you have a building as old as the Keith, you have a number of holes and leaks that you have to patch," said state Sen. Bob Plymale, co-president of the foundation. "But we're at the point where we can't patch anymore." Work should finish by mid-June.
