PTSD raises type 2 diabetes risk, study finds

Post-traumatic stress disorder was associated with an increased risk of type 2 diabetes, according to a study in the Journal of Psychosomatic Research. Researchers said chronic stress triggers changes in hormonal response, leading to adverse metabolic effects in patients.
