Small and medium spas drive growth boom in Indian city

Spas are popping up across the New Okhla Industrial Development Area in India, leading to industry growth of more than 20% in the last three years, according to the Spa Association of India. The growth has been credited for the introduction of many smaller spas catering to customers who lack the resources to visit big spas in four-star hotels. "A lot of spas have come up in order to make these services affordable to those who are a degree below this super-rich category," said Inside Spa and Salon Managing Editor Vidya Deshpande.
