Variety: A third of new network shows will survive first season

Since 2009, about 1 in 3 of the 135 scripted prime-time series launched by ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox have survived their first seasons, with about 1 in 4 making it to a third season and 1 in 5 to a fourth season, Variety has found. Fox has the best record, with 37% of its shows earning a sophomore season, and CBS has the worst, with 30.8%.
