Facebook testing tools for buying, selling of virtual goods

With sales for Facebook applications by third-party developers on track to possibly match or even surpass the social network's projected $500 million in revenue, Facebook is testing a payment tool for site members to buy apps and other virtual items. The social net collects a percentage of each purchase or charges a flat fee. Facebook also is in the test phase for a tool to be used by members or marketers to purchase or swap "credits" or virtual funds for buying on the site.
