Study: Processed meat may increase heart disease, diabetes risk

A study suggests that the salt and chemical preservatives in processed meats may increase a person's risk of developing heart disease or diabetes. The analysis of about 1,600 studies worldwide found no similar health risk among people who consumed only unprocessed meat.
