SEC's inspector general Kotz pulls no punches

H. David Kotz, inspector general of the Securities and Exchange Commission, has raised questions about insider trading by agency lawyers at a time when the agency's reputation and future are on the line. Kotz, however, says it is his role to be tough. "I don't think there could be an IG who came into this job, found the things that I found and in the time period where such scrutiny is on the SEC and not written critical reports," he said.
