Supreme Court: Pre-1979 pregnancies don't count as disability

Female employees who took maternity leave before the 1979 Pregnancy Discrimination Act became effective are not eligible to claim the time as disability leave. The U.S. Supreme Court ruled that an AT&T unit isn't liable for additional retirement payments to four complainants in the case.
