Samsung sees growth in ultra-slim digital displays

Samsung set an industry record last month, selling more than 100,000 digital information display panels, the company reported. The DID industry is slated to grow fourfold in the next six years, according to data from research firm DisplaySearch. "Beyond TVs, DIDs are a major next-generation growth engine for the LCD industry with applications in digital signage and e-boards," said Samsung strategic marketing Vice President Yoonho Kwon.
